Division Stellarator Optimisation comprises a staff of about 20 scientists and PhD students Post Docs working on the projects given below. Topics and results can be found via the individual links.
  • project WEGA for prototype tests as well as for training of students in Greifswald
  • concluding work on the predecessor experiment Wendelstein 7-AS (operated 1988 - 2002)
  • contributions to the International Stellarator-Heliotron Physics Data Base
  • and a temporarily postponed working group on Stellarator System Studies extrapolating the Stellarator concept towards reactor conditions.
