Main topics of the division Stellarator Scenario Development are the dynamic behaviour of Stellarator plasmas.
At IPP Greifswald the linear plasma generator VINETA is operated to study the basic behaviour of plasma waves and instabilities as well as basic questiones of plasma edge physics.
Together with the University of Greifswald the divisions Stellarator Scenario Development and Stellarator Optimisation are involved in the training of PhD students within the framework of the Max-Planck International Research School "Bounded Plasmas".
