Wendelstein 7-X

The "Project Wendelstein 7-X" at the Greifswald branch of IPP comprises a staff of about 480 engineers, technicians and scientists as well as administrative staff. The project is organised in eight sections assigned as subdivisions:

• Project Coordination
• Design and Configuration
• Engineering
• Assembly
• Magnets and Cryostat
• In-vessel Components
• Diagnostics
• Heating and Control

The team is supplemented on site by Euratom staff and works in close cooperation with industrial as well as scientific partners from all Europe. The pages of the Wendelstein 7-X project yield an overview on status and milestones reached.
