Max-Planck-Institut für Plasmaphysik

Introduction

Max-Planck-Institut für Plasmaphysik (IPP) in Garching and Greifswald is concerned with investigating the physical principles underlying a nuclear fusion power plant, which – like the sun – will gain energy from the fusion of light atomic nuclei.

IPP is associated to the European Fusion Programme, which comprises the fusion laboratories of the European Union and Switzerland.
