1. Career Dialogue: "Transfer from science to industry"

In the frame of the Career Center for Postdocs at IPP we will start a new format: the Career Dialogue.

In this format we intend to provide space for career related discussions. We will regularly invite people with different backgrounds who will initially tell about themselves, their career or their networks and will then answer your questions and engage in a dialogue with you. The purpose of the Career Dialogue is to provide insight into different career paths, to bring you in contact with people outside IPP and to enhance our networks in all directions - science, industry, entrepreneurship or science management.

The Career Dialogue is planned to take place every 2-3 months.

Initially, we wanted to organise an afternoon coffee&tea event, however due to the Corona crisis we decided to go ahead and try a zoom-event. At least this has the advantage that the postdocs in Greifswald and Garching can take part simultaneously. Any format can only be successful with your active participation and we are already curious whether this event will resonate with you.

The first Career Dialogue will take place on May 19, 2020 at 3:30 p.m.

Our first guest will be Ms. Anne Grewlich-Gercke from MPG Headquarters.

Anne is project leader of the Industry Track, a programme of the newly inaugurated Planck Academy, and team member of the Department for HR Development. She will talk about the "transfer from science to industry" and provide insights into the industry and talent networks as well as outreach activities of the MPG in this field.
