DESCRIPTION:Transient events such as disruptions\, plasma startup\, and pel
let fueling play a critical role in determining design requirements for th
e tokamak reactor. This has led to an increasing demand for integrated mod
eling tools capable of analyzing and optimizing these processes within rea
sonable computational resources. This talk presents an overview of our gro
up’s activities conducted in close alignment with Japanese experimental
 and reactor-design programs such as LHD\, JT-60SA\, and JA-DEMO. Several t
opics will be introduced\, covering both physical modeling\, such as pelle
 t ablation\, and computational aspects\, including equilibrium-transport c
oupling implemented in the INDEX code. The talk will also touch upon exper
imental validation efforts carried out ASDEX Upgrade\, and other tokamak d
evices\, in collaboration with the ITER Disruption Mitigation System (DMS)
  task force.\nVortragender: Akinobu Matsuyama
