Human Resources Department
The Human Resources Department (HR) of the Max Planck Institute for Plasma Physics (IPP) is the specialised department for all topics relating to the employee lifecycle. Our human resources managers provide services and solution-oriented support to IPP the managers and the employees and give expert advice on all personnel-related issues.
The IPP HR department consists of the following areas and working groups: HR support, payroll accounting, time management, travel management, labor and tariff law, HR project management, as well as employer branding and recruiting.
The HR department has the following tasks:
- Advising and supporting the directorate, managers, employees and guest researchers on all related HR matters
- Implementation of labor and public sector tariff law (TVöD) and the Works Constitution Act in accordance with regulations
- Close cooperation with the works council, the representatives for disabled employees and the equal opportunities officer and other interest groups
- HR marketing and recruitment
- Development and implementation of a personnel development strategy and talent management
- Development of the management and corporate culture
- HR planning and HR controlling
- Administration of the payroll accounting and the time management
- Optimization of HR processes
- Business trip planning and booking
