After decades of energy generation through nuclear fusion being purely a research topic, science, politics and business are now striving to accelerate the implementation of existing concepts in practice. At the 7th Forum Fusion, experts from all fields will meet to discuss current developments. The meeting is organised by the Fusion Industrial Liaison Office (FILO).

Participants include the Director-General of the international research reactor ITER, Pietro Barabaschi, representatives of the fusion companies Gauss FusionMarvel Fusion and Proxima Fusion, and the IPP directors Prof. Dr. Sibylle Günter and Prof. Dr. Hartmut Zohm.

The EU Commission will be represented by the head of unit for fusion, Dr Elena Righi Steele, and the Federal Ministry of Research, Technology and Space will be represented by Dr Peter Schroth, head of the unit responsible for fusion.

Start: 12 January 2026, 11:30 a.m.

End: 13 January 2026, 1:00 p.m.
