Dr. Jörn Rank

Dr Jörn Rank is Managing Director (“Partner”) at d-fine, a European consulting firm which, by means of scientifically minded employees, provides innovative and future-proof solutions through sustainable technological implementation. Dr Rank’s work focuses on infrastructure projects, especially post-merger integrations, in the financial services industry. Before joining d-fine as a manager in 2002, Dr Rank worked as a senior consultant for the financial risk management group at Arthur Andersen Germany and before that in the IT department of Commerzbank AG in Frankfurt / Main.

Dr Rank holds a PhD in Theoretical Physics from Bielefeld University and a Diploma and MSc in Mathematical Finance from Oxford University. During his studies in the 1990s, Dr Rank used massively parallel computers at the universities of Wuppertal, Edinburgh (Scotland) and Tallahassee (USA) and the former Connection Machine CM2 at the Jülich Supercomputing Centre.
