About HEPP

The International Helmholtz Graduate Schools are interdisciplinary graduate schools in innovative science and research fields.

In Garching und Greifswald

  • the Max Planck Institute for Plasma Physics (IPP)
  • the Technical University of Munich (TUM) and
  • the University of Greifswald

have joined forces to run the International Helmholtz Graduate School for Plasma Physics (HEPP) with support from the "Initiative and Networking Fund" of the Helmholtz Association.

The interdisciplinary scientific programme combines basic plasma physics, fusion research, computational physics and surface science.

The school provides a PhD programme, upon completion of which students are awarded a PhD in natural science by their home universities.

All lectures and seminars are given in English.
