Hotel and directions

The Institute holds a limited number of single rooms at  Hoyacker-Hof. Speakers are requested to contact Anneliese Grasmann before 12 September 2014 with their booking requirements and dates of travel.

Directions from the airport (public transport) to Hoyacker-Hof:

Take S-Bahn "S8" (not "S1" !) to Marienplatz. At Marienplatz take the underground line "U6" direction Garching-Forschungszentrum exit in direction of travel at "Garching". Cross the main street and after passing the restaurant "Poseidon" turn left. The journey takes 1.5 hours approximately from the airport.

A taxi from the airport to the hotel takes around 20 minutes.

 

Directions from Munich main train station (Hauptbahnhof)

Take underground line "U5" and get off at the second stop "Odeonsplatz", in order to pick up the "U6" to Garching-Forschungszentrum.

Directions from Garching to the Max-Planck-Institute für Plasmaphysik:

The Institute is only one stop away on the "U6" from Garching to Garching-Forschungszentrum being the final stop. At arrival, take exit "Boltzmannstrasse" and head towards the IPP security gate. Our building (D2) is only 2 minutes away from the gate.
