Simultaneous turbulence propagation velocity measurement at seven radial positions.
On ASDEX Upgrade, a newly designed radar-based microwave diagnostic allows for the investigation of plasma density fluctuations at seven radial positions simultaneously. This enables measurements of the temporal evolution of radial correlation lengths and oscillating sheared flows. The latter have been observed to be important players in confinement regime transitions.
