Humboldt fellowship holder to reinforce IPP’s heating team
Model calculations for the plasma heating of the ITER international fusion test reactor
Max Planck Institute for Plasma Physics (IPP) at Garching was chosen as host laboratory by Dr. Serhiy Mochalskyy, a physicist at Paris Sud University, to do his research in Germany, funded by the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation. At IPP one of the systems for heating the plasma of the ITER international fusion test reactor to several million degrees is being prepared. For two years the Ukrainian born (1985) scientist will be collaborating on this project at IPP.
Since his master’s thesis Serhiy Mochalskyy has been active in plasma physics and fusion research. The objective is to develop a ... more >>
