How can industrial companies benefit from fusion research contracts?

A new brochure with examples from IPP

August 23, 2012

Developing a fusion power plant is a major scientific and technological challenge that in many fields has reached the limits of what is currently possible. The search for new solutions pushes the industrial partners involved in this process to outstanding technological achievements.

Examples from the Max Planck Institute for Plasma Physics in Garching and Greifswald are given in the brochure "Wendelstein 7-X and fusion" showing that industrial companies benefit not only directly from the contracts awarded, but also from the increase in their expertise and the accompanying improvement in their market position.
