Energy research for tomorrow

Helmholtz energy research in a nutshell

April 27, 2011

A new brochure entitled “Energy Research for Tomorrow” gives a compact 36-page insight into selected areas of Helmholtz energy research. Scientists at Max Planck Institute for Plasma Physics and other Helmholtz centres are working to ensure long-term and sustained energy supply and develop solutions for the future that are economically and ecologically acceptable.

The brochure presents not only different energy sources such as the sun, nuclear fusion, fossil energy, geothermal energy, water, wind, nuclear fission, and biomass. Also covered are technologies for energy storage, energy distribution, and efficient utilization of energy that will play a key role in the future. The brochure is available from IPP’s Public Department.
