Abstract Submission

Please upload your one-page abstract (pdf) at:

Abstract submission deadline: 15 May 2015

Poster Format

The poster boards have a width of 118.5 cm and a height of 146 cm. Consequently, posters in the European A0-format (84.1 cm × 118.9 cm) are preferably arranged in portrait format. A0 landscape format is possible as well but coveres exactly the full width of the poster wall. The organizers provide fasteners for the posters. You will find your poster number attached to the poster board. Participants are encouraged to display their posters already in the morning of the day of the relevant poster session.

Orals

Invited oral presentations will be held for the four topics of the conference separately, slots of 30min (25+5min) have been allotted. 15min (12min+3min) will be given to contributed orals.

The meeting room is equipped with a Windows PC. Supported presentation formats are Microsoft PowerPoint and PDF. Although a variety of standard video codecs are supported, speakers are strongly advised to provide video files separately and not only embedded in the presentation.

Speakers are requested to upload and test their presentation material 1 day prior to the scheduled presentation on the conference computer system in the speaker-ready room, located on the ground floor of the conference center. To upload, please contact the conference staff in the speaker-ready room.

Presentations scheduled for Monday, October 5th, need to be tested and uploaded on Sunday, October 4th, in the speaker-ready room (open 6:00-8:00pm). If this is not possible, the material can also be sent via email to the LOC for upload (ishw2015@ipp.mpg.de).

Paper Submission - Instructions for invited and oral presentations

Selected papers from the 20th ISHW workshop will be published as a cluster issue of Plasma Physics and Controlled Fusion (PPCF). IOP Publishing will manage the peer-review of the PPCF cluster issue. This means that manuscripts should be submitted electronically, directly to PPCF, and the authors’ main contact throughout the reviewing process will be with the PPCF editorial office at ppcf@iop.org.

1. Submission

Articles must be submitted to PPCF by 31 December 2015. Otherwise their inclusion in the cluster issue cannot be guaranteed.

Articles must be submitted electronically, either to the submission service at http://authors.iop.org/submit or by email to ppcf@iop.org. On submission, please indicate that your paper is for the 20th ISHW special issue. Full details on the submission process can be found at http://www.iop.org/journals/guidelines

2. Manuscript preparation

The page limit for articles in this issue is 8 journal pages. PPCF is published in US letter format, so each page is equivalent to around 900 words, including tables and figures (tables and figures occupy the equivalent of approximately 300 words each).

The requirements for cluster issue papers are the same as for regular submissions to PPCF (or any IOP journal). For full details of acceptable formats, please visit http://authors.iop.org

3. Peer-review

Once submitted, your paper will enter PPCF’s electronic refereeing system. Articles will be refereed to the journal’s usual high standards, and you may be asked to make amendments or revisions to your paper.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the PPCF editorial team at ppcf@iop.org.
