Mirnov Diagnostic

In total 125 Mirnov coils have been installed in poloidal and toroidal arrangements to study MHD mode activity. The highest frequencies of the order of 400kHz are expected for different Alfvén eigenmodes, in particular mirror-induced Alfvén eigenmodes and helicity-induced Alfvén eigenmodes. The target for the Mirnov coils therefore is to measure magnetic fluctuations with sufficiently high poloidal and toroidal mode number resolution.
