  • Vortragende: Dr. Aurelia Herrmann-Köck und Dr. Thomas Köck
  • Dr. Aurelia Herrmann-Köck earned her PhD in Mechanical Engineering from IPP and TUM in 2008, focusing on "Interface optimization of tungsten fiber reinforced copper for heat sink applications." Following her academic achievements, she embarked on a dynamic career journey, starting with roles in the Presidial Office of TUM and representing the Research Field Energy at the Helmholtz Association in Berlin. Later, she brought her expertise to Siemens in Munich, leveraging her background in science management, R&D, and executive consulting to drive innovation. Over a decade within Siemens' Technology department honed her strategic acumen, leading her to her current role as a Strategy Manager in the Siemens Business Unit "Smart Infrastructure." Here, she is shaping the future landscape of smart and sustainable buildings, electrification, and grids. Thomas Köck, Head of Application & Technology Expanded Graphite - After completing his PhD at IPP (TU Munich) in 2007, he moved to SGL Carbon. He started there as a development engineer in the central R&D department. After 5 years, he moved to the technology field of expanded graphite as group leader. Since 2017, he has been responsible for the natural graphite development area with the topics of sealing technology, electronic applications and battery technology (redox flow and fuel cells).
